There is a tremendous need; especially for orphan and youths in the streets who are facing numerous challenges including poverty, environment degradation, exposure to violence, physical injuries and diseases. Street life and drug trafficking remain one of the biggest social problems that most slums are facing in Kenya and Africa at large.
The current prevalence rate of street cases is estimated at 7.4% with 1.5 million being children under the age of 12 years while the rest is the children over the age of 12years. The high prevalence rate in the urban slum is as a result of poverty, irresponsible behaviors i.e. commercial sex which leads to high death rate, use of alcohol by parents, domestic violence, abuse and peer pressure.
The vulnerability is further increased by the likelihood of engaging in substance abuse like alcohol and other drugs by the affected . As a result these families are left bearing even bigger burden - as workers, educators, mothers and ultimately as caregivers. The survival of the street children is based in collecting of scrap metals and garbage, begging, snatching and stealing.
Below are some of the ways you can contribute to solving these problems

Volunteer Locally
We are always looking for people to volunteer their services.
Any kind of assistance is welcome. We particularly need people
to volunteer as counselors or trainers in any field.

Membership
The organization is founded on membership. All are welcome to become members. Members pay a small amount every month towards the running of the home. Members are kept informed of all activities at the home and encouraged to visit regularly. Board members are elected by the members
Mentor ship & Training
Members are encouraged to select one child to mentor and guide. As the children do not have regular communication with their parents, a mentor and role model is critical in their development.
Visit
We encourage all well wishers to visit the home and see for themselves the contribution that they have made and to interact with the boys to see how they have improved
Where Most Needed
While we have a long list of needs, they fall into three categories, immediate, regular and long term. At present we urgently need beds, beddings, basic furniture and books. On a monthly basis we need money for rent, food, school fees, clothes, medical expenses and up keep of the home. On a long term basis, we intend to buy a plot and construct a home and a training center. We are also planning to start income generating activities to make the center self sustaining. We thus appreciate any donations and will ensure the money goes to the purpose it is intended. Donations in kind are also appreciated.
Sponsor An Orphan
Instead of giving to the home, you may choose to sponsor a specific child
and take care of all his needs. That way both you and the child will get a more
satisfying long term relationship.

Monthly Gift
The center needs at least Kenya shillings 100,000 (United States Dollars 1,200) every month to cover rent, food, utilities, staff cost, education costs and medical costs for the children. Part of these is covered by members monthly contributions while well wishers contributions bridge the gap. We would like to thank Naivas Supermarket in Ngong who regularly assist with basic foods and Miliki Health Center in Ngong who offer discounted services to the children.
Donation Options
We welcome any material or cash donations. Donations may be made to our bank account___________
Education & Training
We welcome any offer of vocational training.
The boys would benefit from any skill whether
it is music, carpentry, tailoring, Masonry, I.T,
catering or any other skill.
