Guiding Principles,
The number of kids living in the streets keeps on increasing. This has also become a threat to the affected children in terms of survival. The number of children and youth affected in Kenya by year 2003 was 150,000 and the number has been increasing day by day. Considering this figure there is therefore a great need to have children cared in a centre where they are given hope even if they have no one to give the love. The center is a real home based care with facilities that will radiate child and young men care and provide educational opportunities that will enable the child discover, develop and utilize their inherent potential and amplitude. The center will foster the full growth and development of each and every child to gain their sense of self respect, self worth and inferno self reliable through a variety of fundamental training, rehabilitation, counseling and learning strategies contingent on individual ability and strength. The center will seek out, rescue, rehabilitate and offer formal education, social and technical training to the young people to nourish their potential capabilities and afterward reuniting them back to the society. The center will provide competent youths with the ability to bring success and pride to the nation and an opportunity to help others.
History,
Global Hope Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre was established in May 2013 by Mr. Joseph Njoroge, a former street boy. Whenever Joseph met street kids all over Kenya and saw the kind of hopeless and miserable life they lived, he could recall his similar past life in the streets 22 years ago. He stayed in the street for a period of 3 years until God sent a good Samaritan who rescued him and brought him into a street children rescue orphanage, where through much love, care and protection, he was able stay and study, after which he successfully graduated. After his graduation, Joseph chose to serve the community through volunteering in various children’s centers as a street children mentor and care giver. It is through this and his past experience in street that made him realize that he can bring a positive impact to the community through transforming these street children and youth because he believes that its never too late for a change.
The project started in May 2013 with 6 former street boys and grew to 65 in 6 months time all the children are in a rented premises which we believe and hope will be moved to a new site.

Global Hope Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre has submitted a proposal to a donor requesting for funds to put up a centre and training facility for the orphans and street urchins that will make a meaningful difference in their lives. A contribution of whatever magnitude will give us the jumpstart we need while we continue to implement our current fund raising plan. We believe that this project is consistent with the mission and interest of social responsibility and hope that you will find it in your heart and budget to support giving life a new hope.
